A Symbol of Unity

Knowing that unity of cultural groups is the key to our movement, Connecting Our Cultures has made it our mission to build a yearlong, "cultural exchange" opportunity for people to learn, interact, experience, and become educated about the diversity of cultures making up our communities.

With diverse cultural groups on board, Gladys and Stacey deliberated over the symbol of unity that would serve as the beacon for this movement.

The Sukkah, (a booth or hut) is the symbol of UNITY where friends, family, and strangers come together as one regardless of religion, faith, or cultural background and is the emblem of the holiday of Sukkot –the Festival of the Harvest. This symbol would be the essence of a village community- one that works together, builds together, and thrives together.

The Sukkah’s symbolism resonates in many cultures. To many, it’s a place to gather and pray as this structure has been considered somewhat of a tabernacle to various cultures. Holidays, special occasions, and harvests have all been feasted under these thatched roofs…but UNITY- where strangers, family and friends gather to rejoice as one- is the key message to this social movement and its iconic symbol!

However, this would not be just any Sukkah, but The World's Largest by Guinness World Records™ standards. So, in celebration of this symbolic hut of UNITY, Connecting Our Cultures will build the world’s largest Sukkah made solely out of MEGA BLOKS™.

Not only will Connecting Our Cultures make global history as the premier symbol of UNITY and a community token of diverse cultures building together, but also act as a platform to help other non-profit charities raise much needed funds for their respective organizations. By selling the children’s colored building blocks, Connecting Our Cultures is giving a large portion of the proceeds from each block purchased back to the partner charity.

Be a part of a global record setting movement and make a difference for our non-profit charity beneficiaries by purchasing a block for $3. The more blocks you purchase, the more you can support the charities and our movement, and the larger our record setting Sukkah.

From every $3 block purchased from our non-profit partner beneficiaries, $2 will go directly back to partnering organizations with $1 going to Connecting Our Cultures, Inc. to be reinvested in educational and cultural diversity programs.
